America's favorite musical tale of the con man who simply can't resist a challenge.
Traveling huckster Harold Hill tries to save the young boys of River City, Iowa, from moral decay by selling the townspeople on forming a boy's band with him as its leader. But Harold is no musician, and there is no real moral decay in the town—he's a fraud. When the comely but prim local librarian and music teacher suspects his racket, Harold has to decide between making a fortune and following his heart.
